Hospice Volunteers participate in an intensive training that focuses on Hopice care, issues associated with death and dying and the role of volunteers in hospice.


Beverly Coleman Inpatient RN, tells the class about the inpatient unit and the nusres role in it. She also explains how volunteers can be of help to the nurses and the patients in the inpaitent unit and how working with them can up lift your life..



The next training class for the Ridgeland area will be in mid August.

Active volunteers come to the class to discuss their experiences with the new trainees. They are asked questions about their adventures and answer what it is like to work with families and patients in the different roles that volunteers work in.
