Angels who go beyond volunteer services

April 21st started off with an enlightening workshop on flower arranging with longtime professional arrangers, Carol Duggar (right) and special quest Sheila Cowart(left). Thank you Carol, Sheila and Green Oak Nursery for the talent, supplies and ideas for the Awards party later that afternoon.
Around fifty volunteers viewed their fellow volunteers' art work at the Recognition Reception. Some volunteers are painters, illustrators, and craftsmen. Some have musical or poetic talent and entertained us at the awards. Pins were given to volunteers who had worked for Hospice Ministries over the past few years. Please see our newsletter , "Spring 07" for more details of the reception.
A very Special Thank You goes to a very talented young pianist,Virginia Glover for entertaining us throughout the reception with her beautiful piano playing.
Helen Anthony smiles as she receives her award from Volunteer Coordinator Jeri Flinn.

Helen Anthony from Ridgeland won this year's Volunteer of the Year award. Congratulations Helen!

Don Guillory, June Stevens and John MacGregor won special "Star" Awards for gathering over 3000 hours of volunteer work since 2001.

Thank you to all the angels who volunteer for Hospice Ministries!
